In "Measuring the Value of a Degree and the Purpose of College," education writer Jeff Selingo brings up some of the new ways to approach post-secondary education. While there are advantages in alternative programs for many students, the Huffington Post scribe stresses the importance of college for a person’s intellectual and social maturation. He also makes clear the importance of a four-year degree in the workplace and its role in marking the possessor as an achiever who is ready to become a contributing member of society.

Our tutors help students and individuals improve their abilities in academic subjects, such as reading, writing, math, science and foreign language, from pre-school to grad school levels. We help students prepare for college tests, including the SAT, ACT, GMAT, GRE, LSAT, and MCAT. We also help them find the right school or university. Our clinical staff helps students who have learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, and other special needs that require one-on-one focus. We augment private home school programs, as well as operate our own Home School. We help people and groups who are interested in learning foreign languages and cultures, as well as American Sign Language. We represent students and parents by serving as their advocates with schools, teachers and other educational and professional settings. We help those who need educational evaluations, as well as people who need psychological and neuropsychological evaluations. Most of all, we create capable learners. |
